Vintage Truck for the Holidays

Today  Teaspoon of Fun is bringing you a gorgeous simply simple winter wonderland card.  It’s fast and oh so pretty!  Let’s take a look!  I used our Mini Slimline Card Bases but you could easily fit it on an A2 Card Base (regular card base) or a regular Slimline Card Base.

I like to cut all my pieces for the Vintage Truck Die and extras when I’m cutting so I have them ready to go.  If I have the die out, why not cut lots!!!  I can put them together or store them for another day.  This is just one of 10 I cut out and I cut them in different colors.  I also cut the boxes in case I wanted to make 3D images.  This die combo is loaded with good stufff!  :0)  To put this truck together I used our Precision Glue Press which comes with Deluxe Adhesive (the best on the market)!  I also used Black Regular Foam Squares  and Black Thin Foam Squares.  This will give it a great look of dimension.

Make sure you watch the video to show you how I put it all together.  For this truck I filled it with presents.  But you can fill the trunk with Christmas trees, pumpkins, Easter eggs, turkeys, hearts….see where I’m going with this?  It’s fantastic for any event!  The bows, bird, snow drifts and wreaths are made using pieces from the Snowy Street Lamp set.  For the snowdrifts I used our White Iridescent Glitter Paper.  They have that beautiful look of fresh fallen snow.

I used the Slimline Snowy Night for the background.  It has the snowy hills and the snow filled sky.  This is a mini slimline so I stamped it and cut it down to fit this card.  Then I added one of our Merry Christmas Tabs.  These are very popular with our customers.  They are pre-foiled for you so it adds some elegance to the card.  To add these to the piece use our White 3D Foam Strips .

The tires.  Here I added a few steps to make them look like they have whitewalls.  I wanted this truck to have the old “vintage” look so I changed these up a little.  Added to this truck you will need a 1″ Punch and Cross Stitch Nesting Circles (for the extra pieces on the tires).  I used Silver Mirror Paper for the center.

I cut a few squares from our Yuletide Cheer 6 x 6 Paper Pack andYuletide Plaid 6 x 6 Paper Pack.  I also cut some of the bows using Gold Mirror Paper  and Rose Gold Mirror Paper  from the Snowy Street LampDie Set.  This set is LOADED with fun stuff!
