Fanciful Gladiola and Lavender

Today Teaspoon of Fun is bringing you another new die we have in the shop.  Fanciful Gladiola Stem layered with our Layered Lavender Bouquet Die makes for a gorgeous flower bed.  I just love gladiolas how about you?

A2 Cream Envelopes

First you want to cut the largest of the Double Scalloped Stitched Frames and cut lots of Layered Lavender flowers.  Color the flowers with Copic B29, YG03 and YG13.  Glue them using the Precision Glue Press directly to the card base making sure they are going to be inside the Double Scalloped Stitched Frames– I trimmed the bottoms off to fit inside the frame.

Next cut out our Wrap Around Elements – I used the bow and ribbon from the set.  I cut it from white and colored it with the Copic B29 to match the tall flowers.  Can you see the “wrap around ribbon” and the “bow” on top?  So pretty.  Adhere these elements over the stems of the flowers using our Precision Glue Press.  To finish off the bow add one of our Treasure Chest Fairy Gemstones.  They are just beautiful and the holographic look picks up the colors from the card.

Take the two largest Double Scalloped Stitched Frames adhere them together using our White Foam Strips.  On the backside of the cutouts, put the strips directly on the cutout line.  It adheres the two frames together and this will be added to your card base now.  It will frame your lavender flowers.  

Let’s start putting the Fanciful Gladiola Stem together.  It’s so easy.  We have FIVE NEW GLADIOLA DIES in the shop – they are all gorgeous.

Here is the second one in a series I will be showing you.  I will do an entire floral garden at the end but I thought it was important to show you them one by one first – they are all beautiful in their own way!  You can cut the pieces from colored cardstock but I like to cut them from white and color with our Copic Markers.  For this card I used B21, B24 and B29 on the flowers.  

Here’s a purple one I did adding some Wink of Stella to the Fanciful Gladiola Stem Die.

HOW DO YOU PUT IT TOGETHER…..

Here’s the order to put them together.  It’s SOOOOOOO easy.  Make sure you are using your Jewel Picker, Retractable Pick and Fine Tip Tweezers to help you adhere them to the flower base using our Precision Glue Press.

Base pieces (cut from colored card stock or white like I do and color with markers).

Next layers.  I like to pop some of them up with our White Micro Foam Squares and Regular White Foam Squares.

Next set of layers.

“Voila!” 

when you pop a piece here and there it makes it look so good.

I finished it off with a few Fairy Drops so it looks like there is dew on the leaves (I always love adding a little glitz).

Add your card to one of our A2 White or A2 Cream Envelopes and mail it off to your dear friend.
