Let’s take a look at what I picked for you today…
Here’s a video to show you how these flowers are created.
It’s so hard for me to do one-layer cards. How about you? I just love layers and dimension. But the Floating Window Technique is a fun card that really lends itself to one layer. It’s so elegant. You don’t have to add a window sheet, it’s all put together by the Double Diamond Lattice Plate. How did I do this?
Cut your base card (4 1/4″ x 11″). Then cut from the front bottom towards the crease a piece that is 3 7/8″. Cut that 3 7/8″ piece down to 2″ (the middle piece is now a scrap piece). Dab your Deluxe Adhesive which comes in the Precision Glue Press onto the bottom and top portions of the Double Diamond Lattice Plate. Place the flap of the top of the card base onto the lattice and then place the 2″ piece on the bottom. Your Double Diamond Lattice Plate is now the “floating window”.
I cut three of the Sending Hugs (one set from Mint Julip and one set from Buttercream). I adhered those together with our Deluxe Adhesive and adhered those to the top portion of the card base.
Another version. So pretty.
Look at how elegant it is.
One of my most favorites…. Tiny Tattered Florals. I paired it with the Double Diamond Lattice Plate and what a beautiful card it is.
There are 15 dies and a free quilling tool in the set.
I used TWO colors for these two. I rolled them together to give it that variegated look.
