Did you know that tomorrow, August 6th, is National Twins Day (not to be confused with National TWIN Day held on December 18th)? I was over the moon excited when my kids told me they were having twins. I’ll never forget the look on their faces! Our little ones are so adorable. Because of this amazing day, Vicki and I have decided to pass on the fun to you with a Twinning Sale Weekend! It starts today!!! Let’s take a look at what I picked for you today…

Did you know…. National Twins Day was inspired by a pair of identical twins who, in 1819, donated 6 acres of land to the town of Millsville, Ohio on the condition that it change its name to Twinsburg. In 1976, the grateful town of Twinsburg began hosting an annual festival for twins the first weekend in August. That year only 36 twins showed up, but today more than 2,000 twins show up at the festival.

So what do I have for you today….
Holly Berries Stamp & Die Combo
(I used YG01, YG17, G28)
Holly Berries Stamp & Die Combo is new in the shop. You may think it’s a stamp combo just for the holidays but I used it here for a Sympathy Card. See… a little tweak and dollop and wah lah …you have a new look! Stay tuned for this one, wait until you see what I did with it for Christmas! WOWZER. Get yours now and stamp along with me. I used the Build a Basket once again (not for Easter obviously – you need to look at your stamps and dies in a whole new way) for the flowers. For the centers I used our Clear Fairy Drops.
The Gentle Touch Hurting Hearts is also new to the shop and worked perfect for this card. I used Stitched Nesting Circle for my kaleidoscope look. To give dimension to the piece I used THIN Foam Squares and the Regular Foam Squares for the layering of the layers and for the leaves. You don’t want your creation to be too thick so I used the THIN Foam Squares for the card layers. The leaves that are in the circles need the Regular Foam Squares because you have two layers of the THIN Foam Squares. For the rest of the leaves, the bow and the flowers I used our Deluxe Adhesive.
I used Copic Sketch Markers to color. The colors I used were simple – YG01, YG17, G28
Remember to look outside the box when it comes to your stamps and dies! You will get a lot more mileage from them. AND REMEMBER …. It’s our “Twinning Sale” this weekend.
