August 24, 2021. I know some of you are chomping at the bit to get started with your holiday crafts including your cards. Some of you are just enjoying the warm weather and sunshine and are not even thinking of the holiday season because school is opening up. As crafters we are always ahead of the game so here’s a little teaser so you can think about getting started or maybe purchasing your supplies now so you will be ready when you are ready!!

This is a card I did last year and it was a huge hit.

Today we have a guest artist – Lauren Duffy. Here is the holiday card she created. It is absolutely extraordinary!! She has pieced and embossed as well as embellished. She is an amazing card maker! Let’s take a look at the details….
She used the Forest Majesty Die Set where she got the birch trees, the deer and the cardinal. That die set is FILLED with goodies (and it’s the set I used yesterday on my butterfly card – CLICK HERE TO SEE THAT POST.) She also embossed the single tree. It’s called Bare Tree . The saying came from Slimline Winter Greetings. She also used her Jewel Picker for the small pieces. This is the best invention! I love mine and so does she.
I’m showing you this card and the snow globe again because I want you to see how to mix and match your stamps, dies and embellishments. Get out your old stuff, mix it with the new stuff! Go WILD!!!! 😉

A Little Christmas in July

The first is the way I am now storing my slimline stamps/dies/embossing folders. They are just refrigerator storage container units. There is a specific size I use. click here for the direct link.

Then the next thing I wanted to show you is how I stand my cards up to display and to photograph. This one is not from the refrigerator, it’s used by florists. It’s called a frog, I’m not sure why, it doesn’t look a thing like a frog but that’s what they call it. Click here to check it out.
