Hidy Ho Teaspoon Fans,
Today Teaspoon of Fun is bringing you technique called the Floating Window. It’s an easy technique that looks absolutely gorgeous. This card can be used for any occasion. Let’s take a look at what I picked for you today…
6 x 6 Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad
Can you see the window sheet? That’s what makes this card “floating”.
These are amazing cards and very easy to make.
Directions:
Base Card 4 1/4″ x 11″
Score at 5 1/5″
Cut off 3 1/2″ from the bottom of the front of the card
From the left over 3 1/2″ piece, cut a piece that is 1 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ (that is the bottom piece)
You will also need to cut a piece 1 3/4″ x 4″ (top layer) and 1 1/2″ x 4″ (bottom layer) for the layering pieces.
Cut an acetate sheet 4″ x 5 1/4″
Lay your card down and add the 1 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece to the bottom. I used mini clips to hold in place. Use Deluxe Adhesive to the top and bottom and adhere your Acetate Sheet.
Next add your layers over the Acetate Sheet.
You can now see the floating window.
Add glue to the top and bottom of your heart ONLY! You don’t want glue where the Acetate is.
Repeat this for the Gold Mirror Paper and offset it when adding to your card.
Add your sentiment at the bottom.
For this version, you will add the Happy Valentine’s Day
On this one, I used the 6 x 6 Vintage Pastel Mirror Paper for the inside of the card. It really made it pop. The 6 x 6 Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad is brand new to the shop! The colors are GORGEOUS!
