Copic Texturing using Snow Edger

Hidey Ho Teaspoon Fans,

Today Teaspoon of Fun is bringing you a Winter scene that is one of our “quick cards”.  This soft card can be used all winter long for any occasion.  I just love the beauty of this Dickens 6 x 6 Paper Pack and everything you can do with it.  I’ve added it to one of our new “Edger” dies and what a beauty! There are 16 edgers we have in the shop so far (we love these and keep getting more)!

EZ Grand Tape Dispenser

White 3D Foam Tape

 A2 Cream Envelopes

Pick out one of your papers from your Dickens 6 x 6 Paper Pack and cut it down to 4″ x 5 1/4″.  Adhere it to your black card base using your EZ Grand Tape Dispenser.  Pick which side you want to show before cutting.

Cut the bottom layer of your Snow Edger Die using Iridescent White Glitter paper.  Pop that onto your designer layer with  White Crafty Foam Tape.  Now cut three layers of “snow” from the Snow Edger Die using white cardstock.  Glue two of the pieces together (one over the other) using the Precision Glue Press.  The third we are going to color with Copic Markers.  I used 110, C3 and C5.  Start at the bottom and the lighter C3 color; next use the C5 blending them together and on top we’ll use the 110 blending that with the C5.  Adhere that to the other two layers using Precision Glue Press.  Now let the fun begin.

Take your NEW Copic Texture Kit and add some of the liquid to one of your cloths (I used the terry cloth piece).  If you are using the Terry make sure you “tickle” the cloth with our Silicone Brush Cleaner to raise all the fibers.  Then set (don’t press or squish down) the terry and count to 5 then lift.  WOW look at the texture you made.  In this case it looks like SNOW!!!!  Add a sentiment from the Winter Clarity Stamp Set to the bottom of this piece or the inside of the card as I did.  It’s simply gorgeous!

Add your card to one of our A2 White or A2 Cream Envelopes and mail it off to your dear friend.
