Color Burst Magnolia Combo
Hidy Ho Teaspoon Fans,
April 14, 2021. I’m just loving our new die. It’s called Circle Burst. I paired it with our Magnolia combo and it came out gorgeous. The technique I used is called Color Burst. So let’s see what I picked for you today.
Remember, it doesn’t have to be hard, it doesn’t have to be complicated, just fun and thoughtful. All products can be found in our Teaspoon of Fun Shoppe.
Copic Markers to color the flower
Copic Colors I used:
Leaves: YG01, YG13, G28
Flowers: B000, B00, B95, B97
This circle burst frames the “color burst” technique perfectly. I just love the look of this new die! To create the color burst background, I used my Distress Oxide ink REFILLS (all links are below in the menu – I used Squeezed Lemon, Fossilized Amber and Faded Jeans for these two sheets), I used our Tim Holtz Ink Blower and our Mini Mister to roll the inks around to give it a marbled look. I just love the way it came out. Here is a visual tutorial:
Drop droplets of refill onto your regular cardstock.
Spritz with your Mini Mister
Then blow it around with your Ink Blower
Oh my goodness, this part is sooooooo much fun!
I used three colors here (Squeezed Lemon, Fossilized Amber and Faded Jeans) – links are below
For this one I used Squeezed Lemons and Faded Jeans.
Add one color at a time blowing it in between colors.
When you add the die to the top of it…OMGeeeee
To make it softer like the example, just add more spritz of water to it – play, experiment and have fun!
To finish off my card I used the Eloquence Sentiment. This has some beautiful sayings to use for many occasions. I just love the way this came out and I love this technique. No two cards ever come out the same. I hope you liked my pick for today.
