Snow Lanterns and Candle Glow with Deb & Vicki

I started this card using our Winter Knit 3D Embossing Folder. Before running it through your die cut machine, make sure you use your Mini Mister to dampen your card stock layer. This will help mold your paper into the 3D embossing folder. Adhere this layer to your card base using your EZ Grand Tape Dispenser.

I cut the frame, the top and the hook from the Frosted Lantern out of Black Glossy Cardstock. I cut the snow out of Iridescent Ice Glitter Paper. The candle was cut out of white cardstock and colored with Copic Markers. Cut a square piece of white cardstock (I actually traced the lower part of the lantern) and burnish some Squeezed Lemon Distress Oxide Ink in the center of this square using the Blending Brushes. Adhere this to the back of the lantern. Set your lantern aside.

I cut all pieces of the Festive Holly out of white cardstock and colored with Copic Markers. Put these together using our Precision Glue Press. Notice the branches are adhered to the TOP of the branches instead of underneath.

Cut the Pine Branches out of dark green cardstock. Now it’s time to put it all together. I started with the Pine Branches, then added the Frosted Lantern and finished up with the Festive Holly.

I added some Crystal Glaze to the candle flame to give it that shiny look.

Add your card to one of our A2 White or A2 Cream Envelopes and mail it off to your dear friend.
