Floral Border for Springtime

Hidy Ho Teaspoon Fans,

Today’s card  from Teaspoon of Fun is all about a gorgeous new frame we have in the shop.  We have so many new products to share with you.  CHECK THEM ALL OUT!!!  It’s a unique frame because it doesn’t cut out the entire images on the frame, it cuts  only part of them so they can pop up.  GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS!!!   Let’s take a look at what I picked for you today…

This card is oh so pretty!!  Can you see how I popped up the “cut-through’s”?  I’m going to show three cards with different sentiments capturing different events with the simple change of a sentiment.

See how they are cut but not all the way?  Just enough to pop them out giving them that dimensional look.  To pop them out….TURN your frame over (the wrong side on top) and using your Retractable Craft Pick, pop them forward!    

 I LOVE this look so much!  How about you?

The cute little flowers surrounding the sentiment came from the Floral Heart Frame.  I cut them out and used my Jewel Picker and Deluxe Adhesive to attach them.  Then topped it off with one of our Mini Pearls.

I used our Scalloped Stitched Nesting Ovals to soften the layers under the sentiments.  This made a HUGE difference in the look of the card.  I love all my nesting dies but this one was PERFECT for this card.   I also used Copic Markers to color the elements but you could use just about anything.  I’ve also used just plain cardstock and designer paper to cut it out.

Copics I used to color:

G21, Y02, R21, BG10, E21, E25 

For this one I used Eloquence Sentiments (the same one I used above).  This set is amazing!

Here I used the Hello Dear Friend for the sentiment.  I cut it out three times and layered with our Deluxe Adhesive.  Before I adhered it to the Scalloped Stitched Nesting Ovals I cut it out one more time from our Black Licorice card stock and offset it just a bit to give it that shadow look.  Isn’t this new die so gorgeous!!!!

I got the little flowers from the Floral Heart Frame.  Remember when I did this card I told you to save all the little flowers.  Well they sure did come in handy here!  :0)  To see the entire post for this card, CLICK HERE!
